Presenting in an emergency situation and having a baby before expected can be very overwhelming. In these situations, anxiety is high. Susan gave us great peace of mind in this situation.
I was lucky to have had Susan as my nurse twice from the very start of the shift to the end. She was smiling and very upbeat. Susan made me feel that no task was too small for my nurse to help me. I felt bad having to need so much help with my son after my C-section. Susan made me feel as if I was doing her a favor by letting her assist me and put me at ease. She was caring, empathetic and compassionate. Susan spent extra time with me on education and even made sure that education was carried out with me when my son was transferred to NICU.
Susan truly went above and beyond, both with commitment to patients and to education. Not enough can be said about the peace of mind Susan gave me allowing me to concentrate on being a mother. Susan's positive attitude and demeanor serves patients well and takes the weight off our shoulders.
