A letter from a grateful patient:
Dear Nurse Donovan,
Thank you so much for your unmatched care of my family. You had never met them and had little notice to their coming, yet at the request of your doctor you gladly agreed to stay and provide exceptional care to my 3-year-old son. At the time, he was quite scared and nervous about the whole situation after cutting his head earlier in the day. He didn't know what to expect and I, being away on Temporary Additional Duty, was not there to comfort him or help my wife with our other child while he received care. Thankfully you, along with my wife, were able to contribute greatly to his reassurance and relaxation. Hearing how you held him and interacted such that he was able to allow the surgeon to close his laceration gives me great pride that the Navy employs such folks as yourself. You deserve to be recognized and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping my family in our time of need.
