Susan Ethell frequently goes above and beyond to help her fellow team members while providing a very positive experience for her patients. Susan is known to always lend a helping hand, whether it is helping other team members when the unit is busy to changing her schedule to pick up a night shift to shifting her role without complaint to ensure patients of the OB unit are being taken care of with compassionate, quality care.
Recently, Susan helped ease the transition into parenthood for two new parents, who experienced a difficult delivery of their daughter. She was not only an active part of helping during the delivery but was there for the couple and their new daughter through recovery. While the new mom was recovering, Susan helped the new dad learn how to hold, bath, swaddle and care for their precious new daughter. She sincerely cared for the new family and helped to turn a difficult delivery into a positive and exciting experience for the new parents. Susan is a top-notch nurse who consistently provides the best possible care to all her patients while providing a hand to staff and other departments, every day.
