I was in the special care obstetrics unit for four weeks after my water broke at 27 weeks and it was Susie who was my most consistent caregiver. It was she who fielded my worries and concerns about being gone from my husband and children for so long. She also shared in my small joys of family life. She insisted on changing my sheets daily even when I said it wasn't necessary. In addition, she also recognized the change in me before any other physical symptoms showed that infection was setting in. Susie was the one who got me ready for an emergency C-section and got the IV port in when no one else could. I am so thankful that she was such a big part of my hospital stay. Thank you!
