March 2019 Honoree
susan fowler, RN
Susan was the nurse I had for the end of my labor and delivery. She was the perfect cheerleader and champion I needed for what had been a long labor (I had been in labor for 24 hours, by the time she started working with me). She was exactly what I needed - a motivating drill sergeant! I was tired and running out of steam, but she primed me for the delivery and helped me with breathing techniques during the most intense part of my labor. I can still hear her, "come on, come on, harder, harder, harder" in her Scottish brogue.
I may not have enjoyed my labor at the time, but I loved the nurses and staff at PSJMC. I now look back on my delivery with such positive memories of the staff who made my experience the best it could be. Thanks!

Thank you, Susan, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
