My mother was a patient overnight after having surgery and even though this was her second surgery, she was experiencing different symptoms, some of the staff didn’t seem to have empathy for her pain, but Susan did. Susan took the time to explain to my mom why she was feeling the pain, she checked on my mom often, and she even took the time to problem solve and come up with a solution for pain management with her. Because of Susan, my mom was able to sleep through the night and wake up feeling so much better. I stayed the night with my mom and Susan made sure I was comfortable and gave me a pillow and blanket. I really appreciate the compassion shown to my mom by this nurse. I realize they deal with this every day, but for a patient, it is very scary, thank you to Susan for her outstanding service and compassion to my mom.
