Susan took wonderful care of me after my hysterectomy surgery.
I was nervous about it. She underlined how well the surgery went but also told me it was an intense and involved surgery, and it was normal to feel still drowsy and wanting to sleep. I was in postop for many hours sleeping off the anesthesia and trying to get a hold of nausea. Susan brought me aromatherapy packets, which was very thoughtful and helpful.
She also told me about her own experience with the same surgery, which made me feel less alone in the situation. Nurses who take the time to care for you as a person are rare, and I was fortunate to have Susan. I felt like I was in very good hands the entire time.
