Susan was my nurse for two days following the delivery of our baby girl. As a new mom, everything about this time is very new and overwhelming! Susan made me feel comfortable and confident as a new mom right from the start and ensured I was well taken care of. She suggested options and therapies to help me heal and recover, which was so relaxing and exactly what I needed! She doesn't know this, but about four years ago, I lost my mom, and since she could not physically be there for me, I truly felt taken care of by Susan in that way. Susan only ever offered suggestions and ideas, never once making me feel like I "had" to do anything, but her guidance was truly appreciated! She told me to "listen to my gut instincts," and that was the best advice I had been given! She also put in referrals for pelvic floor and made sure lactation saw me several times while I was here. On my last night, Susan made sure my night nurse knew I was spending the night with my baby alone for the first time for the extra support. I left my stay here feeling confident and well-suited to go home and take care of my newborn, and my recovery was off to a good start as well, thanks to Susan going the extra mile for me. Thank you!!!
