I've been undergoing weekly treatments at Banner for approximately 2 years and received excellent patient service by the nursing team managed by Susan Hollaar. She has, on many occasions helped me as a nurse and with scheduling. Susan is a highly skilled nurse and manager. Recently there was a billing procedural change that had an unfavorable impact on many patients. It meant that many could no longer receive their treatment there. Susan was called upon to work with the patients and doctors to see if they could qualify for their infusion treatments under an exception to the requirement at the direction of hospital management. I was panicked at the news that would mean I may not be eligible for my Rituxan treatment that was scheduled within the week. Susan was compassionate and supportive. She provided resources and guidance to help me communicate with my doctors and my insurer about the concerns. I'm so grateful to say I was able to have my treatment today largely because of her assistance. I'm sure many others were impacted and they too can continue their treatments.
