Susan knows each patient by name and remembers specific aspects of their families. She went out of her way to come into work on her day off to give a patient his antibiotic shot when he was too afraid of needles to do it himself.
I have been so very fortunate to have had Susan as a nurse and friend for well over 10 years. She has been at my side through fertility treatments, she has celebrated the birth of my two children with me, and most recently she has calmed my fears when I went through a cervical cancer scare. I absolutely could not ask for a better nurse to confide in and trust. Her compassion cannot be matched.
