Susan is the epitome of a nurse leader and demonstrates Atrium's core values in all she does. She continually seeks opportunities for her growth and development and has served as a model and mentor to me and others. Her research and evidence-based mentality carry over to her team, resulting in innovative thinking and truly holistic care. When COVID slowed down progress all around us, Susan thought of new ways to bring integrative services to oncology patients, taking full advantage of what technology could do to advance care and healing. She has honed in on teammate engagement, provider and patient satisfaction, creating a healthy work environment, and advocating for work-life balance. Through her various clinical publications and presentations, advancement of her post-graduate education, and involvement in a Scholar's program, Susan demonstrates the importance of lifelong learning and ensuring that patients always receive the highest standard of care.
