After arriving at the ER, Susan immediately made me feel comfortable and in good hands. She calmed my anxiety by explaining anatomy, which made me realize that my pain probably was not coming from my pancreas, and most probably was a pulled muscle. Since I am a cancer patient, this was so important to me. She also told me the ER doctor I would be seeing was amazing, which he was. Her confidence and calm demeanor meant everything to me after a harrowing morning. Susan made all the difference for me. My experience at St. Luke's ER went from one of pain and despair to comfort and hope. She is a valuable asset to St. Luke’s and a blessing to patients.
