Yesterday, Sue approached me about trimming nails for a homeless Vet, whose toenails were digging into the skin on the end of his toes. I agreed to see him after she explained his circumstances and her fear that he would leave without coming back for treatment at a later date. I noticed her also coordinating other care for this Veteran for the same day with other providers and services.

On top of that, she asked the Veteran what he would like to eat, and she went across to Sheetz and personally paid for food and brought it back for this homeless Veteran. If this isn’t going above and beyond for our Veterans, I’m not sure what is. In the 21 years that I have been here, this is one of the most selfless acts I have witnessed.
