Susan Lowell, RN

Susie Lowell has recently stepped into the charge nurse role here on 5E and has been able to help rebuild a community of support for the night shift team. Susie is constantly popping into rooms to make sure the nursing staff is supported and is the first to run and get supplies when needed. She isn't afraid to reach out to other departments for support and is great at sharing her knowledge base with all the new staff and travelers. Susie knows how to brighten everyone's mornings with her 3 am fruit snack attack, is excellent at supporting her coworkers to get breaks, and listens to their concerns and offers solutions/suggestions. This past week our unit experienced some difficult cases, Susie has made it her mission to help educate the team on the situation and how to be better prepared. Her passion for team dynamics and ability to support her staff makes her a true DAISY Nurse. We are grateful to work with you Susie and appreciate all you do.
