It is apparent in her work that she enjoys watching our students grow in this area of nursing, and she enjoys collaborating with other faculty to elevate the community health experience.
In working with Susan and coordinating community clinical placements over the last few semesters, I am so impressed by her passion, knowledge, and expertise in the area of community nursing. It is so amazing to me. She loves teaching students how to care for and communicate with patients in the hospital as well as those outside of the hospital walls.
She is invested in finding community clinical experiences for students that are diverse, impactful, and can help teach future nurses how to educate and support those in our community. It's great to work with a clinical instructor so involved and passionate about teaching this nursing specialty.

Susan has done a fantastic job of delivering outstanding community clinical experiences to our senior-level students. She has collaborated closely with colleague DW to see what contracts we have in place to provide a varied experience that showcases the many aspects of community health nursing.
She continues to build relationships with our community partners and thinks of ways we can improve upon the clinical experiences that our students participate in.
