I am nominating Susan because of the incredible care and compassion she showed me during one of the most intense and vulnerable experiences of my life. From the moment she came into my room, we connected. She took the time to see me as a person, not just a patient. We shared conversations, found common ground, and she created an environment where I felt safe, supported, and understood. She also took the time to connect with my support people and included them in every conversation and decision.

During the hardest moments of my labor, when I felt overwhelmed, scared, and unsure if I could do it, she stayed right by my side. She comforted me in such a personal and meaningful way, gently holding my face, grounding me, and reminding me I was strong.

One moment that will stay with me forever was when she prayed with me after discovering we had similar spiritual backgrounds. She saw that I was panicking, held my hands, and prayed. That act of compassion and presence meant more than I can fully put into words. It brought me peace and strength exactly when I needed it most.

Her attentiveness, kindness, and genuine care made a lasting impact on my birth experience. Because of her, I felt supported not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. I will never forget the role she played in helping bring my baby into the world, and I am so deeply grateful for her. My family and I will always be thankful for Susan entering our lives.
