Susi was nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award because of her love and care that always kept the patient as her center focus. Susi had an extensive nursing career, including many clinical avenues such as the Emergency Department, Case Management, and Clinical Nurse Instructor. She joined Hancock in 2013 where she was instrumental in developing our Outpatient Care Management team, Patient Centered Medical Home Accreditation, SANE Program along with many other accomplishments too long to list.

During her tenure at Hancock, she demonstrated acts of servant leadership where you could always count on her to be a strong advocate for the patient’s best interest. She would always say, “Now, how will this affect the patient?” any time a new process was under development, as that was always her main concern. Her commitment and passion for patient-focused care were evident in her daily work. Susi was and still is a mentor to many of our current clinical managers. She would empower and encourage them to find their strengths within and believe in them. Thank you, Susi, for your lifetime dedication to healthcare. You have made an immeasurable impact on our community and our leaders here at Hancock.
