Susan is a very compassionate nurse, is always ready to work as soon as she comes to work. She is an extraordinary preceptor who told me like it is and made sure I understood that patients come first and to always advocate for them.
There was a situation when Susan worked extremely hard to provide the patient with a labor experience that she desired and shortly after participated in the delivery of a healthy baby girl. Susan made this first time mother so happy and a believer in what nurses can accomplish and what advocating for a patient is all about. She demonstrated critical thinking regarding care of both the baby and the mother as well as advocating for the patient. She is an EXCEPTIONAL nurse, charge nurse, and preceptor.
