Susan Orlando, DNS Susan Orlando is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Nursing at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans School of Nursing. Dr. Orlando is certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and a Lead Instructor in the STABLE program. She was described by both colleagues and nursing students as an “amazing instructor person and faculty member.” She was described as “patient, kind, encouraging, and understanding.” Dr. Orlando’s enthusiasm and love for providing neonatal nursing care is palpable. She was described as dedicated to the nursing school, provides role modeling, and demonstrates a great concern for her students learning even to the point of provide one-on-one clinical laboratory experiences for her students.
