Susan Remington often says, "I am going to continue the healing mission of Jesus Christ, I just don't know how I'm going to do that yet." Recently, she found a way.

Susan was paged to assist the staff on 12 West with debriefing after the unexpected death of a patient, and to help the elderly wife of the deceased. After assessing the spouse, Susan determined she was not safe to drive or to be home alone. Susan made arrangements for the woman to stay in a guest room for the night, purchased food for her, made sure she took her medications and settled her into the guest room. Susan talked with the woman about her friends and finally found a person to stay with her for the night.

Susan also contacted the woman's niece - her only surviving relative - who lived out of town. She was very thankful and asked that her aunt not be left alone. When the niece made plans to fly to Tulsa in mid-March, she wanted to meet Susan to personally thank her for what she had done.

And Susan started a clothing closet for those who are in need of something to wear.
