We were challenged this year with a pandemic. Sue helped to guide us through some extraordinary times but her role model behavior made it easier. She exhibited such leadership with her cool and calm persona. She was always there to talk to just when you thought the place was circling the drain. There is a great deal of trust and respect in our leadership team and interdepartmentally because of Sue being able to see things from all sides. Sue is always coaching us in order to develop us to be the best we can be. She is highly supportive of the nurses on the frontline and is open to their feedback. The community of Trenton has been so supportive to us through this pandemic and brings nurses to have pride in the community they serve. This type of leadership starts at the top and I hear many RNs say they are nervous about who would take Sue's place if and when she should leave or retire. I, myself, am proud to be ending my career having worked for Sue!
