Susan and her co-workers brought together a new mother and her dying mother one last time in our L&D. Our patient's mother, a hospice patient, was brought in by ambulance and was able to see and hold her first grandchild. She passed away the following day. Through the caring, compassionate, coordinating efforts of Susan and her teammates, the two women were brought together to say goodbye. The experience was very emotional and humbling for all involved.
