A patient was being treated at the Wound Healing Services, her friend that provides transportation for her, received a distressing phone call from his wife. She was having chest pains which reminded her of her previous heart attack. She was 30 minutes away and did not want to call an ambulance without him.He was very distressed, not knowing what to do. Susan talked to his wife on the phone and continued to talk to her until the paramedics arrived to care for her. This gave her husband the time and relief while he drove to the hospital to meet her.
