Susan says her greatest accomplishment is earning the respect of her coworkers and the doctor she works with.
Susan always wanted to be a nurse. She wanted to help people and make them feel better. “My parents always told me I had a gentle heart,” says Susan.
Susan said her goals in working at MHHS is to continue working in the Critical Care Unit and to obtain her CCRN certification. Susan says her greatest accomplishment is earning the respect of her coworkers and the doctor she works with. She refers to these teammates as her “CCU Family”.
When asked what the DAISY Award meant to her, Susan said, “This Award, coming from my coworkers, means more than I could say. You have patients and families that you get close to when you’re caring for them and that’s always special, but when your coworkers nominate you, that’s just something that leaves me without words.”
