Susie went above and beyond to alleviate my COVID-19 anxiety on top of the anxiety I already had due to an extremely fragile procedure done on my heart. She managed to find the time to talk to me and explain step by step everything going on. Never did I see an expression of frustration or anger at all! She made this entire experience about me as all excellent staff should. Susie is nothing short of a frontline hero that we all hear about. She dedicated herself to my well being and I can't thank her enough. Whenever I pressed my call light, she was there not only to solve my issue but to ensure that there wasn't anything else I needed. Not only did she soothe me mentally by first being knowledgeable of the work/duties she performed, but also by making sure I was physically comfy. She helped me turn and reposition myself as needed and as much as she could with an order to remain still for 6 plus hours. She made the impossible possible. She talked me through major panic attacks that could have set my health back tremendously. She was the family member that I wasn't allowed to see that would otherwise be able to make me feel at ease.
I could go on and on about how awesome of a nurse Susie is, about how she is a major contributor here at Banner Estrella. I know that my word of mouth is important and does have an effect on patients choosing to come here. This stay in ICU compared to the last one is major. I am beyond pleased with it because of RN Susie! She is a soldier on the front lines. She is an effective RN. She is my HERO and a hero to so many patients. Hats off to you! This time Banner, I give you guys 5 stars for choosing Susie as a part of your team. Everything just fell into place and everything about my stay is 100%. Keep it up, Banner and Kudos Susie.
