Susan was amazing. Susan was with me the night before my release. I had a total hip replacement and broke out severely from the IV pain meds. My cheeks, under my eyes, my skin was burnt and inside my mouth was burned also. It was very uncomfortable over and above the surgery.
Susan is a breath of fresh air in a sterile, pain filled environment. She'd take me to the restroom, help me back and the bed was all remade, cords untangled, fresh water and the list goes on. It may be her job to do all of the above, but she did it with caring and respect. I could feel it. We laughed together, which I had come to the conclusion was not going to be possible during my stay. Susan remained 100% professional and a caring human being at the same time.
