Susan is a true nurse role model. She seemed to be the one that the rest of the staff looked up to for leadership and clinical expertise. Always very busy but never frazzled. I was admitted on a holiday when resources were somewhat hard to assemble, especially doctors. I was in considerable pain but Susan doggedly went after on call doctors, their nurse practitioners and nursing staff with the appropriate urological expertise. Most impressive was Susan's advocacy for me. She had worked an 8-8 shift but was still there until midnight making sure I was well taken care of. I always felt I was her first priority even though I knew she was serving several other patients who probably felt the same way.
