Susan VanBibber is my nurse navigator. I was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer in November 2022. She has been here with me every step of the way. I knew I could go to her with any fears, anxiety, and worry I experienced while going through treatment. She listened and supported me and continues to support me. Whenever I had a procedure (chest port being put in, MRI, CT, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy) Susan would check up with me prior to the procedure to make sure I was doing okay and always asked what she could do for me to make things better. I knew as soon as I got my results, Susan would call me to follow up with me to see how I was doing. I knew at any given time I could count on Susan for anything and she did what she needed to do to get me through some of the worst times in my life. She still remains a major support person while we go through this next journey with my husband and he was recently diagnosed with kidney cancer in November 2023. We have requested and hope we can get Susan to be a part of my husband’s team also as she is amazing. She got me through some very dark days and just knowing she is there for us, makes it easier. We are grateful to have found her.
