SUSAN WADE, RN
A3S, Mother/Baby – Methodist Hospital – Clarian Health
Susan Wade’s nomination came from a patient who sent her DAISY nomination directly to the DAISY Foundation. “I would love to nominate Susan Wade for a Daisy Award. Susan was my nurse after I gave birth to my daughter via c-section. What impressed me most about Susan was that she made me feel like I was her only patient. I was so touched that she took so much time with me. She did so many things that stood out. Her smile and the way she talked to my husband and me make us feel so comfortable and confident in the care I received, and confident that we would be okay in our role as new parents”.
According to her clinical manager, Kim Ehlers, Wade brings her expertise and compassion to her work every day as a patient advocate, charge nurse, preceptor, and mentor for new staff. Wade has worked at Methodist Hospital since 1972
