Susan and her husband went above and beyond when they welcomed a patient's wife into their home after the patient had suffered a heart attack in Yosemite. The patient and his wife were visiting from France and spoke very little English. The patient was flown to DMC but his wife was all but stranded by their group. When she finally made it to DMC it was late and she was scared to stay at any of the hotels near DMC. Knowing the language barrier and level of stress the patient's wife was enduring, Susan and her husband welcomed her into their home. Not only did they provide lodging for the patient's wife, but transportation to and from the hospital for the duration of the patient's stay! The level of generosity and compassion they showed is hard to match!
