Susanne Hanada embodies Children's values and never loses sight of her commitment to the PICU's patients.
A recent PICU patient, a high school student who played football and had so much life ahead of him when an accident changed his life forever. Susanne cared for both the patient and his family, sensing that after working with him all week, she needed to be there when they received difficult news-even though it was on her day off. Susanne wanted to make sure the patient and family understood the information given to them and she wanted to be able to support the young man.
