Susanne Jacobs, RN, BSN, MSN, FNP-BC

I met Susanne several years ago when I first started coming to Duke after I received the devastating news that I had stage 4 brain cancer. She was like a beacon of light and hope, and really helped reassure me that I was in the right place to be cured. She is consistently wonderful every time I need anything. There are not many nurses who will go that extra mile just to make their patients happy, no matter what the ask is. Suzanne has done it every time. For instance, I broke out in cold sores from the chemo, making me sick, so I wrote her an email. She called in a prescription for medication to help with the nausea without even making me drive down to see her or go through a lengthy telephone appointment. I have had other nurses make me jump through hoops to receive any kind of help, not her. She's amazing and always makes me feel like she genuinely cares about me! I love the way she always makes my days better every chance she gets!!!
