December 2017 Honoree
suvanna patana, RN
Suvanna is an extraordinary nurse. She is very caring, sensitive and knowledgeable. She went the extra mile in caring for my sister. She constantly updated my family and was very supportive during the most difficult time a family can experience (the sickness of a loved one).
Suvanna was caring and made our family feel comfortable and most importantly we feel our sister is in great hands. She goes above and beyond in caring for her patients.
***
Suvanna is a strong, reliable, and dedicated relief charge nurse. She has been helping with staffing shortage by working on both day and night shifts as needed. She also volunteers to float to telemetry and wherever we have overflow critical care patients in the hospital. Patients and family members love her caring and compassionate demeanor and explanations. She champions the pressure ulcer prevention program, conducts chart audits, and follows up with required restraint documentation in critical care. Although she just celebrated her 60th birthday, she has not slowed down a bit. She is a good resource for the unit and per peers, especially the new nurses, love to have her on duty for their shift.
