If there is one word I would use to describe Suzie, it would be "angel." She is truly a Godsend to so many people. She is filled with an abundance of compassion and grace; it makes you look at yourself and want to be better. Suzie has a natural warmth to her that is very comforting to patients. When we have patients that receive a difficult diagnosis or treatment plan, Suzie hugs, cries with, laughs, sits in silence, and prays with/for these patients. She is able to calm them down and give them hope. This is not an easy task, but Suzie does it so effortlessly.

Numerous patients have shared the impact she has made for them time and time again. Suzie has created the BSW Ortho -Onc Plan of care within Epic for our office to streamline continuity of care and ensure nothing is missed for these patients' care. She has created smart phrases to help the MA's charting process. She has filled in at just about every position within the office and has done it with a smile. If she doesn't know, she simply figures it out.

Suzie has helped patients find transportation to the office or their imaging appointments. She gives patients resources on finding a lower-cost facility, if needed. She has given patients directions to their local grocery store. While we are sleeping, Suzie is working on things for the office. Suzie sends out educational information to the team to help everyone understand what is treated in our office, like ortho definitions or fractures vs path fractures, as she understands not everyone is clinical and may not be familiar with some of these things. Suzie has driven to the office on her day off to open the door and allow employees in when no one else was available. That is about an hour's drive! She answers everyone's questions throughout the clinic day and works on tasks that are outside of her own duties while still maintaining the work she has on her plate. She goes above and beyond every day and is always willing to lend a helping hand!

I can go on and on about all the good things she does on a daily basis, but we would honestly be here all day, because this list is so long. Suzie has not only done these kinds of things for patients but has also done so for her coworkers and friends. She has a genuine goodness to her that can't be mimicked. She is the one person you can always count on without a doubt in mind. Suzie is truly a lifesaver in so many ways, and she doesn't even know it. It is simply who she is.
