The 10th floor had a patient with behavioral concerns. A recommendation was made to provide the patient with a doll to use as a companion. We were able to retrieve a doll from our rehab department. The patient bonded with the doll, requesting additional clothes and bottles for the doll. On the day of discharge, the patient was willing to leave the doll with us; however, she was noticeably sad. Suzanne noticed this and went to the store and purchased the patient a new doll, with a crib and accessories. She delivered these items to the facility to which the patient was discharged. This is an amazing example of going above and beyond for our patients.
