Having a healthy baby is such a blessing, but even more special for the nominator was her amazing nurse, Suzanne Flach. "Knowing that I would be induced because of my gestational diabetes made me extremely nervous. Upon our arrival at Saint Agnes, my husband and I met my nurse, and from that moment on, I knew everything would be OK. She took time to learn about me, my family, my expectations for the day".

Throughout the delivery process, Suzanne was in charge and the patient gained confidence as Suzanne kept her informed each step of the way. For the patient, Suzanne's caring presence was comforting; for Suzanne, it was a nurse's job. And Suzanne knew exactly what made a difference.
