Suzanne has cared for many of my family members in the Infusion Center, both for oncological and non-oncological reasons. We are forever grateful for her kindness, compassion, and empathy. She knows patients by name, considers their personal lives outside the hospital walls, and continuously advocates for their best interests. I have numerous examples I could provide that illustrate the above description, but I will share one here for your reference.
My family member was in the middle of what seemed like another countless chemo cycle, and she saw him in the hallway walking to a treatment room. She asked how he was doing, and he replied that he wasn't great. She let him know that she would be in to see him right away to get more information. She followed through and came to assess him with his primary nurse. Following her assessment, she immediately notified his oncologist and had the concerns addressed. His care that day changed because of her. It is always a sign of relief when we see that Suzanne is working. She is a prudent and competent, experienced oncology RN. Patients and families are fortunate to have a nurse like Suzanne coordinating and facilitating their care.
We are so appreciative of everything Suzanne does and the added empathy and personal touch she adds to all our encounters with her. Thank you
