In addition to all-around awesomeness, Suzie went big time outside the box to work with my cousin to get the post-op drug order correct. Suzie was the one who noticed that the pharmacy we chose closed at 5 and was too far away to get there in time for the pain medication. She suggested using a pharmacy near the hospital instead. She even stayed with me while I called the pharmacy to make sure it all went through.

Believe me, the musical pharmacy game was not an easy task for her to navigate the pharmacy regulation of not being able to order a new narcotic at a different location while still having the original pharmacy location order outstanding because the doctor was in the middle of his next surgery, and the original pharmacy was going to close at 5 pm. Time was of the essence. She did not panic and got a doctor to order the narcotic at the nearby pharmacy, which happened to close at 6 pm. So it gave us enough time. She even talked to the pharmacist at the hospital to ensure they could do it and satisfy both hospital and pharmacy protocols.

By the way, my surgery time got pushed back, so the original pharmacy closing at 5 pm wasn't an issue until then. She was on top of things, noticed the problem and solved. She stayed with me to solve it. Suzie is the Rock Star I was fortunate to be assigned.  She is a model employee, the kind anybody would want on their team.The world needs more nurses like Suzie Bills. I now have my narcotic with me to take home instead of waiting until the original pharmacy opens tomorrow. I will certainly need to take some tonight. Oh, I live out of state, and this was an emergency surgery. So yeah, Suzie rocks! I would not have been able to navigate this without her help.
