Sybil currently serves as the triage nurse for a very busy orthopedic practice. She was nominated by eight of her teammates including her Practice Manager, three Clerical Supervisors, two Ortho Techs, the Radiology Supervisor, and a Care Coordinator. Sybil's entire team expressed her unfaltering caring nature for her patients. One co-worker stated that Sybil is the most caring and dedicated nurse she has ever worked with in 21 years in healthcare. Sybil goes above and beyond to provide exemplary care to her patients by listening to their concerns to help alleviate their fears, to ensure their safety by answering all the patient's and families' questions, providing patient education, and assisting with ambulation to the car. Wherever Sybil is needed, that's where she goes.

One example was a post-op patient who needed to be seen several days in a row. Sybil made sure to meet with that patient daily to ensure all their concerns were met. She is very knowledgeable and able to handle difficult situations in a calm manner. Sybil is always there if an emergent situation arises and is able to take charge. The staff rely on her for her calm demeanor and her vast knowledge and expressed they never want her to leave the practice. Sybil is not only an excellent nurse to her patients but also to her fellow teammates.
