Nursing is not an easy profession. It can be hard to show compassion and empathy. For Sydney, it's never a question. Sydney shows compassion and empathy to all her patients and staff. She models compassionate patient care. Sydney has grown into a fantastic nurse and leader. Sydney has never met a stranger and takes on any challenging situation with confidence.

When one of our nurse's family members was brought into the ER, Sydney was the first person by her side. She was there to help support and guide them emotionally during that time. Sydney was aware of their family situation and understood that the wife needed to be by her husband's side during that difficult time. But how would she get there? Who was going to watch their 11-year-old daughter who was at school? Sydney coordinated it all. Sydney drove the staff member to Indianapolis to be with her husband. She went to the hospital with her to make sure they got answers. She coordinated with other family friends to watch the daughter.

Then she went a step further and coordinated a bake sale to help raise money for the family, and she and the staff decided to make a care package for the 11-year-old daughter. Sydney is dedicated to helping others. She consistently goes above and beyond. I couldn't be more proud to work alongside an amazing nurse like Sydney. Thank you for all you do
