Sydney Powell received a beautiful nomination from the spouse of a Veteran during his time in the palliative care unit. The wife stated the following, “Sydney is the epitome of excellence and compassion, and treated my husband with the utmost respect and made him feel so important. She was the best at letting him win at thumb war. She was always attentive to his needs and even made sure he had his favorite water flavor when I couldn’t find it. I could write a book, I just know she made a huge difference in his life.” Ms. Powell truly went “above and beyond” for the Veteran. During the surprise DAISY Award celebration, she was joined by her proud Mom and Dad, who echoed Ms. Powell’s passion for her patients.
