Sydney Wiggs is a phenomenal nurse on COU who takes the time to ensure every patient’s needs are met. She always makes time to connect with patients and families to learn about each individual person. She is often complimented by patients and families alike regarding the compassionate care she gives. Additionally, Sydney is willing to share her knowledge with students, co-workers, and others to promote growth and safer outcomes for our patients. Sydney analyzes the little things and responds appropriately as she realizes that these “little things” can turn into life-changing events. For example, a patient was complaining of pain in their leg. Sydney took quick action and notified the provider. This allowed the patient to receive immediate treatment as the patient suffered a stroke. This is just one example of Sydney’s dedication to ensuring patients receive the very best care. She is very dependable and can be counted on to get the job done.
