On her way to work, Sydney drove past a car accident where a bicyclist had just been struck by a car. As she passed, she realized that the bicyclist was lying motionless on the ground beside the road, and no first responders were on the scene. She immediately turned around, sprang into action, and began to aid the injured bicyclist, performing CPR until JFRD arrived and took over. After turning over the patient, Sydney continued on to work. Once she arrived, she realized she was covered in the victim's blood. She had no time to prepare for this, was off duty, and had no PPE or equipment that is available in the hospital. She jumped into action, exposing herself to potentially infectious bodily fluids in an attempt to save another human being. That is the epitome of how a DAISY nurse would react.
