Recently, my father was admitted to the ICU with a diagnosis of cancer in his colon.  Sydney was assigned to him as his nurse for much of his stay. She was utterly amazing in the way she managed her nursing duties, which included two days of colon prep for a colonoscopy and surgery.

What truly stood out was in the way she communicated and talked with not just Dad, but with my mother and brother as well. She related to us more like a member of our family than just an assigned nurse. 

Sydney genuinely cares about the patients; she treats them as human beings.  She also displays a maturity level far beyond her years.
