Two Radiology colleagues nominated Sydney, the first stating:

"Sydney was extremely helpful with multiple ED patients during a time when it was difficult to obtain transport. She offered to transport two to three patients and arrived in a timely manner. Sydney also came to the department to help with an IV pump for an ED patient (not her patient) whom we had in the department.

Sydney was very communicative about her patients for whom testing required a full bladder. We were never left wondering if we would receive a call with an urgent need due to a full bladder. She let us know the baseline bladder scan information, and when they administered Lasix.

The overall patient flow and patient experience was made better because Sydney was involved and communicative with their care, and it was all done with a pleasant attitude.”

The second colleague stated:

“I want to nominate Sydney for a DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional teamwork, professionalism, and positive attitude that she consistently demonstrated while collaborating with the Ultrasound Department.

Sydney quickly adapted to and followed a new protocol that was implemented regarding bladder filling for pelvic ultrasounds, which ensured patient care remained safe and efficient. Her communication with the Ultrasound Department was outstanding. She kept us informed, responded promptly, and helped facilitate a smooth workflow between departments.

On multiple occasions, when patient transport was delayed, Sydney personally helped transport patients between the Emergency Department and Ultrasound. She also came over to Ultrasound to assist with an IV issue, further demonstrating her willingness to step in wherever she was needed. Sydney demonstrated a kind, positive attitude with every interaction and exemplifies what collaborative patient care looks like. She is incredibly deserving of recognition through a DAISY Award.”

Thank you, Sydney, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
