My child has been in the hospital for 3 weeks today and we’ve gotten to know so many nurses. When my child had surgery not only did Sydney spot an error in restarting meds to prevent future suffering, but she also noticed my husband and I hadn’t eaten all day. She took it upon herself to not only order us a pizza and drinks, but also pizza for the nursing staff. After we fell asleep that night she enlisted help from other amazing nurses to decorate my child’s room with hand-drawn pictures and balloons. This is beyond the standard level of care. This is someone that treats the whole family and really cares.
