Sydnie talked us both through the scariest ordeal for us both and helped us stay calm.
Sydnie ended up our night nurse after our other two were pulled into C-sections. From the moment she walked in, she brought this air of calm with her. While on cervidol, the pain started to get worse and she sat down with me and my husband to explain when to get the epidural and her reasoning why. It was helpful the way she explained it versus the "it's up to you" we heard before. That whole night, she made us feel comfortable and welcome that I asked if she could be my nurse the next night if I was still on that floor.
I ended up going into hard labor at shift change and she walked right in and took over for the day nurse and talked us through labor. When we ended up needing a C-section, she stayed by my side and held my hand the whole time until my husband came to the OR. Sydnie talked us both through the scariest ordeal for us both and helped us stay calm. Once our girl was here, she let him go see her in OR, held my hand, talked to me, and did the same when he had to leave again. She stayed with us all the way to the 6th floor and even gave us updates on our baby the whole time. Never could thank her enough for everything she did!
