To me, Sylvia represents a nurse idol. I, myself, had been a nursing student and had worked at HMC's TSICU as an HA. Sylvia has always been a wonderful coworker who is always willing to show and explain her nursing interventions for patients to me. But most of all, Sylvia is an incredibly talented RN with patients, even with the most difficult ones. She is very caring, guides patients through her nursing interventions with clear and open communication and is not afraid of applying a therapeutic touch where it's necessary. Sylvia just has that special touch that is necessary to be the perfect RN.
