Sylvia was recognized for helping to arrange an MRI on a patient with a tragic diagnosis. She coordinated care with multiple healthcare systems and went above and beyond to made sure the proper testing was completed. The patient and spouse were so very grateful.

Sylvia cared for an elderly confused patient who was, unfortunately, the victim of neglect. He was in to have surgery and was confused and actively trying to get out of bed. Sylvia sat with this patient for hours, due to the surgery being pushed back, and was seen playing music for the patient on her phone and talking to him; he had a huge smile on his face that hadn't been there when he first arrived. We could tell he was at peace in the room with her and his demeanor was calm and he was no longer fighting to get out of his bed. He was being treated like a person and he was happy. This gave me a huge lump in my throat.
