Sylvia is an excellent nurse and human being. She approaches all of her patients with compassion and does everything within her power to be an amazing patient advocate.
In her role with patient rounding, she follows up with discharge phone calls and provides constructive feedback to other nurses as well as management with ideas for both system changes and little changes to make our patients' experience a more positive one. She is joyful and smiles all the time, every day!
Sylvia is encouraging to everyone and is the first to run to bed alarms, jump up to answer call lights, and ask to see who needs help. She is an excellent team player and keeps the work atmosphere fun.
Sylvia is very deserving of the DAISY award because of her strong work ethic, her positive attitude, and her ability to make every patient feel exceptionally loved and cared about.
